A Toast To New Beginnings! The New Website Is Finally Live!

Oh, friends... this is an exciting day. I have been waiting for this moment for a while - the day the new website goes live. I am just smitten with the logo (my monogram is by Empress Stationery and the calligraphy is by Gracefully Made), the clean design, and the gorgeous imagery by so many amazing photographers who I am lucky to call friends. It is a very pretty space, and I am excited to share it with you. I also want you to know that so many hands have helped create it, and for those folks, I am very grateful! I would not be here without the support and encouragement of others, especially my sounding board of close family and friends.

This launch comes with a fair share of fear and anxiety, too. I have always been very friendly & outgoing, and some would say I am an "open book" in many ways. But I have struggled with the launch of this website - I put it off, tweaked it every day, sent it to be proof-read one too many times... While I am a social butterfly, I am fundamentally introverted, which sometimes causes me to over-process fear and anxiety. Putting yourself out there can be scary! The words on this website - my intentions and my hopes for the couples that welcome me into their families during their engagements and weddings - mean so much to me and are so pure. I poured my heart into these pages, and finally sharing it with you is something that is thrilling, but also terrifying. Will the couples who are meant to find me this year resonate with what I have to say?

Throughout the process of writing and editing these pages, I simply tried to put myself into each space. I hope that, if you have spent some time exploring this website, that you will feel like you know me a little bit better than before. Because the rewarding part about starting your own wedding planning business is developing relationships with clients and vendors who you "get" and who "get" you, and sharing in this beautiful part of life together. That is what makes the fear and anxiety fade into the background - that shiny, new possibility of making new friends and serving my clients well.

I love a good celebration, and so we will be popping open the bubbly tonight at the McMullan house (if we can get some before snowpocalypse 2017 hits) and toasting to more cake tasting, boutonnière pinning, dress bustling, and veil carrying. But really, we will be toasting to the best job in the world - I get to welcome folks into my family and be a part of theirs, witness deep and lasting love, and support and celebrate with people every day. It is the perfect career for me and I wouldn't have it any other way. Send me some good vibes today! I am excited to get to know you better.
